If not, have a short break. Tell me in the comment section of the blog what you are grateful today.
This is activity that I did with my younger daughter. You may do it with your person living with dementia. To roll the dough into ball if he enjoys baking.
Cookie base
1 cup (225g) butter ( melted and cooled to room temperature)
1¼ cup dark brown sugar
¾ cup white sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2½ cups plain flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
Mix all the melted butter, sugars, eggs and stir it together.
Then add all the dry materials, sifted and mix. Add your chocolate chips to the cookie base.
Chill the dough for a minimum of two hours.
Then scoop out and roll to size, depending on how big your prefer your cookie.
Preheat the oven at 185 degree Celsius.
As it contains no preservative, keep no longer than 3-5 days.
Be thriving caregivers. Practise self care.
